Mental health and hypnotherpay awareness

I’m going to be promoting Mental Health Stigmatisation, I shall be writing a column every week In the Tranquillity bythesea Facebook page. The weekly articles will be on the different types of Mental Health illness’s such as Anxiety, depression, Bi-polar, Obsessive Compulsive disorders (OCD), Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) Attention Deficit Hypersensitive disorder (ADHD) Children’s Mental Health, Autism, Asperger’s syndrome (AS ) both in children and in adult’s and so much more. Hypnotherapy can help some of the disorders listed because it’s a natural state of selective, focused attention, and, even though it is 100% natural and normal, it remains one of the most fascinating phenomena of the human mind. Our ability to enter this unique state of consciousness opens the door to countless possibilities for healing, self-exploration and change. Hypnosis has been recognized for thousands of years and used for many purposes..............When you enter into the absorbed state of hypnosis, you can use your thoughts, talents and experiences in ways not usually available to us. With the help of Hypnosis we can develop innate, individual abilities that enable making desired changes in our thoughts, feelings and behaviours as possible. Hypnosis is used for the treatment of pain, depression, anxiety, stress, habit disorders, and many other psychological and medical problems, in fact, most of the above and more, However, it may not be useful for all psychological problems or for all clients. Hypnosis is also used in research with the goal of learning more about the nature of hypnosis itself, as well as its impact on sensation, perception, learning, memory, and physiology. Researchers also study the value of hypnosis in the treatment of physical and psychological problems............ have I caught your attention???

So, going back to the Mental Health disorders and the stigma associated with a poorly brain, I’m going to add some fun bits to the Column i.e. adding some personality tests for you to do with family and friends or, on your own......... True or False questions and some bizarre beliefs. .............. My first topic next week will be on Anxiety and Depression………….For most of us, we have, at some point, suffered from one or both of these symptoms, for most, after a couple of weeks the symptoms begin to subside and you slowly get back on your feet, for others, it’s the start of a very long downward spiral of despair , sadder still, many will not realise they are suffering from Depression or, they don’t want to acknowledge it…………….. SO, this is where you guys come in, I want the articles to stir up conversation, talk amongst your family, friends work colleagues, because someone in your group may be suffering symptoms of depression, they may be too scared and anxious to tell anyone because of the Stigma surrounding a Mental Health illness, The weekly articles will be written around Hypnosis and how it works and for Mental Health Awareness, it’s not written to suggest a diagnoses, it’s for all who are interested in learning and becoming aware of their own Mental health and well-being and not being shy about talking to someone about it (especially you men, buts that’s another article).... Perhaps even recognising that maybe someone you know is suffering from a disorder and is too scared to come forward............. I shall look forward to reading your own generalised stuff about Mental Health. If you have a personal question then please message me, it’s totally confidential…………….. I
So, Look out for my first column next week and don’t forget, Smile at the person next to you, it may be the kindest thing some has done for them all that day……………….
