Being a Local

For those of you who aren't local to Whitstable and Tankerton and want to see the best of it there will be a Walk of Maugham's Whitstable on Saturday 10th May. The tour will pass landmarks and landscapes and is completely free of charge. The walk begins at Whitstable Castle Tearooms at 12:00 noon and will conclude at All Saints Church and best of all it's completely free!!! 

 

p.s the Whitstable Castle gardens have been renovated in recently years and are really worth checking out even if you're not up for the walk!

He's Back!!!!!!

 

And no... we don't mean Jack Nicholson..(although with such lifelike painting we sometimes feel his presence!)

We're talking about Local Artist Ron Chadwick... having featured in a large number of high profile exhibitions over the years proud to host Ron's work back on the walls of HQ.

Whether it's iconic faces of Hitchcock or his thought provoking abstract work there is sure to be something that will catch your eye.

Being a local

We love keeping things local.
Not only does HQ serve great cuts and hair styles to the public, luxurious treatments and tasty coffee and cakes, it's also a great space for exhibiting local artwork. We've had various exhibitors over the past year and we're pleased have Liz Shedden on board. Being a proud Whitstable Local Liz's artwork tells a beautiful seaside tale and is a breath of fresh air in the salon.

Christmas Cakes!

Victoria's been getting busy baking, her cakes are making us all feel festive and a little hungry! Victoria's cakes are available to buy in the coffee shop, you can also take some home with you or even give decorating your own on one of her cake courses. Check out Victoria's facebook page for more information on the courses or just for updates of tasty treats and inspiration.

Catman leaves no scent

 

As if there wasn't enough mystery surrounding the identity of Catman in Whitstable! We came in  this morning to find the lovely Audrey Hepburn under heat.

She won't give us any clues but this mysterious appearance has come after many around the town. Keep up with Catman on his facebook page and catch him if you can!

 

We'd love to thank him for filling the bare wall with a true legend.
