Product of the week

Salon favourite Pli has finally made it to 'Product of the Week' status! 

For those of you who love to blow-dry, straighten or curl your hair, this is the product for you. Activated by heat, Pli locks in texture with a strong hold whilst maintaining a natural feel, keeping your hair fibres smooth and your style locked in! 

We'll be working with the product over the next week, giving you some top tips on how to make the most of your product.

I once heard....

During Feburary we're going to be exploring the myths about hair! 

I once heard cutting your hair will make it grow faster....

'We'd all like to believe Repunzel is real but sadly the answer is no, it won't increase the speed of your hair growth, nor will tell the roots to grow quicker. What it will do is encourage stronger and healthier hair. A healthy head of hair can often appear longer as there are no damaged, dry or broken ends. The key to long, luscious and healthy hair is a visit to the salon every 8/12 weeks for a trim. In that visit you'll usually get some great hair care tips and a really good shampoo, condition and blow-dry making it definitely worth the trip.'

Tip Tuesday!

#Tip Tuesday - Perfect Brows

 

Brows are there to frame the face - if you've over plucked them, persevere and grow them first.  Get them professionally groomed at The Beauty Rooms HQ as your first port of call for some professional brow action, then keep those beauties looking fresh and fashion forward at home with the following routine

 

• Comb:                        Combing the hairs upwards will reveal which hairs are falling outside the target shape of the eyebrows.
• Trim:                          With a small and sharp pair of scissors, trim the hairs outside the shape over your eyebrows until you have a neat line at the top.
• Tweeze:                     Use a slanted pair of tweezers to pluck any hairs that fall below the shape under your eyebrows; you can also pluck any hairs that look out of place around the eyebrows.
• Fill:                             Using a small angled brush, fill in any gaps in your brows with a powder that matches closely the colour of your natural eyebrow hair. Tip: Brushing the powder upwards will give you more                                  realistic-looking eyebrows, as the powder will blend in better with the hairs.
• Highlight:                 Outline the shape of your eyebrows (top and bottom) with a white eyeliner pencil. This will create a contrast that makes your eyebrows stand out and it will also give the illusion of a mini ‘eye lift.

                                                               

Product of the Week

We've already had some raving review on this weeks product of the week, Philip Kinsley's  Elasticizer. It's been around for decades serving for likes of Audrey Hepburn and Laurence Oliver. At HQ we want to put it to the test so we will be working its magic in the salon over the next week. Keep up with us on soon

Oonagh our apprentice is rocking some glam nails for the Christmas party this Saturday! 

Thankfully this gel polish is durable and will keep her nails looking super no matter how many hair washes she may have to do!

Catman leaves no scent

 

As if there wasn't enough mystery surrounding the identity of Catman in Whitstable! We came in  this morning to find the lovely Audrey Hepburn under heat.

She won't give us any clues but this mysterious appearance has come after many around the town. Keep up with Catman on his facebook page and catch him if you can!

 

We'd love to thank him for filling the bare wall with a true legend.
