Top Tip for a designer Liner

Lip liner is a great product that not only prevents your lipstick from bleeding out onto your skin, it also enhances your lips making them look fuller and more shapely

It's crucial you get it right though, over lined lips can look a little out of place on the face...

Start from the centre of your top lip and lightly line to one corner.

 

Repeat on the other side of your top lip and then outline the bottom.

We recommend you don't use black lip liner (as in the photo) find a colour that matches both your skin tone and lip stick. Sofie provides one to one tutorials in The Powder Room, call the salon for more details.

Know your neighbour!

 It's always exciting when we see our neighbor Hayley from Tankerton Flowers at our door. She never fails to surprise us with her mix of flowers and foliage popping in every couple of weeks with a special delivery.

It's hard not to be drawn into her emporium bursting with colour when taking a stroll down the high street, so check out her website or pop in if you're close by!

NAILS

After months of alternating between blasting indoor heat and sub-zero temps, our nails are virtually unrecognizable. Go for something different.  Mellow Yellow was a popular colour this season as were the tangerines and pinks. “These are the perfect chill, modest shades for lazy weekend brunches.”

Sofie has spent the week reviewing Chanel lipstick, Rouge Allure Velvet

 Cost: £25.00

Review: This is the ultimate lipstick, you just can't go wrong. To start with this lipstick comes in Chanel's signature case, stunning and classic it instantly makes you feel like a film star. The lipstick shade is one I have used on all skin tones and it just seems to suit everyone. A dark berryness this is moisturizing and Matt. You can use straight from the bullet for an intense look or dabbed on for a lip stained look.
 The only thing I would say is that your lips have to be well conditioned before using this as otherwise it can show up any cracks or dryness. But nothing a light buffing with a toothbrush and some lip balm wouldn't handle. So for a beleated Valentines date or actually any hot occasion the lipstick to reach for is 'La Sensualle' the name says it all!
